Stephen has a new girlfriend.. In the very early days of their relationship, he left it until the last minute to buy a Valentine's Day card so his choice was very limited, resulting in a pretty poor (and wholly inappropriate) effort indeed.
He left the card in the pigeon hole of his new girlfriend's flat however, while writing the message, the only pen he had ran out meaning he had to scratch the rest of the message in...
When Stephen's girlfriend opened the card, she was so shocked and concerned that it had been left by a psychopath, that she came very close to calling the authorities.
In this song we retell that story with Jim playing the part of Stephen's girlfriend for some reason...
